Terms of Service

By downloading or using BuddyLog, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BuddyLog application for iOS and Android ("the App") developed by Ivana Mrsic ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Use of the App

BuddyLog is a personal relationship manager intended for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for all data you enter into the App.

You may not use the App to store or process data about other individuals without a legitimate personal basis for doing so, or in any way that violates applicable laws or the privacy rights of others.

3. Your Data

All data you enter into BuddyLog is stored locally on your device. On iOS, if you enable iCloud sync (Premium feature), your data is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. We do not have access to your data at any time. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data.

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the App. Deleting the App will permanently remove all locally stored data.

4. Premium Subscriptions

BuddyLog offers optional Premium subscriptions (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are managed and billed through the Apple App Store on iOS and through Google Play on Android.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account (iOS) or Google account (Android) at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings (iOS) or in the Google Play Store under Payments & subscriptions (Android).
  • No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except where required by law.

Subscription prices are subject to change. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes.

5. Free Tier

The free tier of BuddyLog has no limit on the number of people or events you can add. Some features are available only with a Premium subscription. The set of features included in the free tier may change over time, and we will provide reasonable notice of any such changes.

6. Intellectual Property

BuddyLog and all associated content, design, logos, and software are the intellectual property of Ivana Mrsic and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without our prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs or viruses. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ivana Mrsic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Third-Party Services

On iOS, the App integrates with Apple services including CloudKit, StoreKit, MapKit, and the Contacts framework. On Android, the App integrates with Google services including Google Play Billing and the Google Places API. Use of these services is subject to Apple's and Google's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any of its features at any time. If the App is discontinued, active Premium subscribers will be notified and refunds will be handled in accordance with Apple App Store or Google Play policies.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
